Biography
Dr. Kathleen Penney Childree, a native of Madison, Alabama, began her career at Huntingdon College in the business office as an accounting assistant following her graduation. She has since served the College as executive assistant to the Provost and Dean of the College, Director of Student Activities, Director of External Relations and Assistant Dean of Students for Residential Communities & Community Standards. She was named Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students in 2024. In addition, she is a Title IX Investigator for the College. She has a passion for enhancing the student experience and providing leadership development opportunities.
Dr. Childree is active in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) where she has served on the state of Alabama’s Board of Directors as the State Director. She also serves her community through her involvement with the Junior League of Montgomery (JLM) where she has served several terms on the Board of Directors.
